Animal Medical Center of Appleton, established in 1989, is a full service veterinary hospital, offering health care to dogs, cats and exotics, including birds, small mammals and reptiles.
It is our mission to provide a lifetime of compassionate, comprehensive veterinary medical and surgical care to every patient. We strive to give high quality committed personal care to each patient. We educate our clients about individual pet wellness. Our doctors and staff continue to keep themselves educated in order to provide the most innovative philosophies in patient treatment and care. We realize the role of our pets as family members, and to the best of our ability, we will treat them as such.

Terri has been a veterinary technician at AMC since 1995. She received her Certified Veterinary Technician degree in March of 2009 after intense study on her own. She frequently attends continuing education classes in her areas of interest, which include dentistry, exotics and wildlife. Terri has been volunteering for the past five years as a certified wildlife rehabilitator and educator. She works closely with the educational based group Wind River Wildlife Rehabilitation. Outside the clinic, Terri spends time with her husband, Chad, and stepson, Andrew. Activities they share are vintage car shows, concerts, hiking and biking. They share their home with Luther (the Doberman), two cats, many exotics, and wildlife in need.

Nicky has been a veterinary assistant at AMC since 2006. She has a ten-year-old daughter she loves to spend time with and they love to roller-skate and shop together. Nicky has been working with animals since she was five years old, from her own pets to the humane society and finally veterinary clinics. Although she has no pets of her own, she loves to spend time spoiling her furry nephews and nieces.
Cindy has worked for Animal Medical Center since 1995. She began as a technician and moved into the role of Office Manager. She loves gardening, reading and spending time with her birds and cats. She shares her home with her husband, Dan, two cats and three birds.
Beth is a veterinary technician who has worked as a receptionist at Animal Medical Center for eight years. Outside of work, she spends time with her husband, Bob, her two children, Luke and Katie, her French Bulldog mix, Gus, and her three cats. Other interests include family outings, reading and attempting to garden.
Tracy has been working as a Veterinary Assistant at AMC for 13 years. She has great compassion for the patients and their owners. In her free time, she spends time watching Packer games with her husband, Gerry, and spends time with her two grandchildren. She has three cats at home.
Julie is a Certified Veterinary Technician. She obtained a Bachelors degree at UW-Platteville and an Associate degree in Veterinary Technology at Bel-Rea Technical College in Denver. She began working at AMC in 2003. At home, her interests include classic cars, baking, antiquing, and restoring her Victorian home. She spends her free time with her husband, Rob, and her menagerie of critters including Moki, her dog; Luna, Orien and Soleil, her cats; Ren and Stimpy, her hedgehogs; several lizards; a snake; and a salt-water aquarium full of fish.
Therese has worked as a Receptionist at Animal Medical Center for the past 22 years and currently works two days per week. She lives in the country with her husband, Clarke, two horses, four dogs and five cats. Therese and Clarke love the outdoors, traveling and sailing.
Dr. Christine Barber received her veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota in 1994. She worked for one year as a small animal veterinarian in Anchorage, Alaska, before returning to Wisconsin to work at Animal Medical Center of Appleton. She enjoys veterinary medicine and all the variety of animals she gets to help, especially the exotics. Her other interests include four-wheeling, reading (Stephen King mostly), movies and watching Packer games. She currently has two cats at home.
Dr. Jennifer Niemczyk is a 2003 graduate of the University of Minnesota. She began work at Animal Medical Center of Appleton in June of 2004. She loves her career and enjoys working with all types of creatures and their owners. She resides in rural Malone with her husband, daughter, one dog, two cats and one bird. She enjoys crafts, gardening, baking and the outdoors. She and her husband are remodeling a farmhouse, so they always have a project going.
